When an Emmaus International member organisation is facing an emergency situation and it requests support, either to help its group members or the local population, an appeal for solidarity is made to all the movement’s groups. The aid collected means it can take action to respond to the immediate emergency.

For over 10 years, solidarity between groups in the movement has made it possible to respond to forty-one emergencies. Due to the consequences of climate change, emergencies are becoming increasingly frequent.
