Organisation set up in 1998 and member of Emmaus International since 2007.
Located in the South West of England, Emmaus Bristol is a community where 23 companions live and work. They carry out the traditional activities of Emmaus communities of collecting, sorting, repairing and selling goods at low prices at two different second-hand shops. he community also offers bicycle reconditioning and repairs, house clearance and French polishing. In 2014, the community acquired premises in the centre of Bristol, where workspaces and materials are made available to companions and people on low incomes, to help them start up small businesses. Two have already come to fruition one has been set up for electronic goods recycling, the other helps former prisoners find work.
