Emmaus in Asia
Emmaus Asia is the decentralised organisation of Emmaus International in this region. As such, it works in line with Emmaus International’s guidelines and decisions. Since 2006, the date it was created, it has united Emmaus organisations based in Asia and has undertaken to ensure that the movement’s guidelines are respected by each of its members. As a regional organisation, Emmaus Asia's responsibilities include coordinating the region's organisations, organising solidarity initiatives and resource sharing between all its member organisations, as well as lobbying the public authorities and regional political bodies.
Today, the Asia region has 7 Emmaus groups in 3 countries.
