Emmaus Umeå is a non-profit association that has existed since 1988. The association's purpose is to work for a socially, ecologically, and economically sustainable development both locally and globally. The main business consists of collecting, selling, and redistributing used items. The goal is to increase reuse locally and at the same time generate a surplus that can go to development assistance.
The association runs a second-hand shop in Umeå where locals can shop for reasonable prices so that everyone can afford to buy what they need.
