EMMAÜS MURCIA

At "Los Ramos", the 22 companions of the Emmaus Murcia group live together in a small community.

There is also a second-hand goods shop. A second shop can be found in the city of Murcia itself. The companions carry out the traditional work of an Emmaus community: collecting, sorting, repairing and reselling used goods at low prices.

They have access to social care, counselling, training and career support.

Emmaus Murcia has permission from the local council to collect Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). This equipment is collected, sorted, and then either reused within the community or sent to a processing centre.

Finally, Emmaus Murcia is part of a local network (the EAPN) which fights poverty and social exclusion in the Murcia region.
