Organisation set up in 1999 and member of Emmaus International since 2012.
The 30 companions at Emmaus Hampshire carry out the traditional activities of Emmaus communities of collecting, sorting, repairing and selling goods at low prices. The group has two second-hand shops, one in Eastleigh, the other in Winchester, where the companions accommodation is located. There is now room there for up to 30 companions, as there is now have 2 flats in Eastleigh for those companions wanting to move on. At the Bar End store, there is also a café the Green Roof Café , which offers customers hot drinks and homemade cakes and sandwiches. On the last Sunday of the month, Emmaus Hampshire runs a big sale, where some items are reduced by up to 50%.
