Solidarity with Gaza - Urgent call to end the genocide of the Palestinian people and support for the Global Sumud Flotilla
Mercredi 17 septembre 2025, à Paris. Nous, organisations engagées pour les droits humains, la justice sociale et la solidarité envers les populations vulnérables, dénonçons à nouveau avec la plus grande fermeté le génocide en cours en Palestine [1] .
Selon l’UNRWA, plus de 61 158 Palestiniennes et Palestiniens ont été tués depuis octobre 2023 [2] . L’UNICEF reporte plus de 17 000 enfants tués [3] . La famine provoquée frappe Gaza avec une intensité extrême [4]. Des centaines de milliers d’hommes, de femmes et d’enfants sont menacés de famine, en particulier dans les villes de Gaza, Deir al-Balah et Khan Younis [5] . Plus de 5 000 enfants ont été hospitalisés pour malnutrition aiguë en mai 2025, dont 636 en état critique [6] .
Depuis fin août 2025, face aux bombardements incessants, à la famine orchestrée par le blocus et à la catastrophe humanitaire, des dizaines de navires ont pris la mer depuis des ports en Espagne et en France, et ont été rejoints par des dizaines d’autres navires d’Italie, de Grèce et de Tunisie pour tenter d’ouvrir un corridor d’aide humanitaire par la voie maritime et dénoncer le génocide en cours. Composée de citoyens et citoyennes de 45 pays différents, la Global Sumud Flotilla forme un mouvement mondial historique et fondamentalement non-violent. Il s’agit d’une action de la société civile, légale et solidaire, qui agit là où l’inaction des gouvernements persiste.
En tant qu’organisations agissant au quotidien pour la justice sociale et défendant le respect de la dignité de chacune et chacun en France et dans le monde, nous refusons de rester silencieuses face à cette inhumanité largement documentée et dénoncée par les organisations internationales.
Nous demandons à la France de se conformer aux obligations que lui impose le droit international :
- Agir concrètement et sans délai pour mettre un terme au génocide, en cessant toute action susceptible d’y contribuer (livraison d’armes et de composants militaires)[7] et en prenant les sanctions nécessaires contre Israël.
- Prendre ses responsabilités diplomatiques et humanitaires pour mettre immédiatement fin au blocus illégal d’Israël sur Gaza et garantir l’accès à l’aide humanitaire.
- Assurer la protection des ressortissantes et ressortissants français à bord des navires de la flottille

As organisations committed to human rights, social justice and solidarity with vulnerable populations, we once again roundly denounce ongoing genocide in Palestine [1]. According to UNRWA, more than 61,158 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023 [2] . UNICEF reports that more than 17,000 children have been killed [3]. Famine is hitting Gaza with full force [4]. Hundreds of thousands of men, women and children are at risk of starvation, particularly in the cities of Gaza, Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis[5]. More than 5,000 children were hospitalised for acute malnutrition in May 2025, including 636 in critical condition [6] .
Since the end of August 2025, in the face of relentless bombing, blockade-orchestrated starvation and humanitarian catastrophe, dozens of ships have set sail from ports in Spain and France and have been joined by dozens of other ships from Italy, Greece and Tunisia to open a humanitarian sea corridor and denounce the ongoing genocide. The Global Sumud Flotilla is made up of citizens from 45 different countries and is a historic and fundamentally non-violent global movement. It is a legal and solidarity-based civil society initiative, which is taking action where there is ongoing government inaction.
As organisations acting daily for social justice and defending respect for the dignity of everyone in France and around the world, we refuse to remain silent in the face of this widely documented inhumanity denounced by international organisations.
We call on France to comply with its obligations under international law:
1. Swiftly take concrete action to put an end to the genocide by ceasing all actions that could contribute to it (delivery of weapons and military components)[7] and by taking the necessary sanctions against Israel.
2. Assume diplomatic and humanitarian responsibilities to immediately end Israel’s illegal blockade of Gaza and ensure access to humanitarian aid.
3. Ensure the protection of French nationals on board the flotilla’s vessels.
