Mechanism for collecting testimonies

After receiving several testimonies from people who had been subjected to behaviour that could be likened to sexual assault or sexual harassment committed by Abbé Pierre, Emmaus International, Emmaus France and the Abbé Pierre Foundation created a system to enable all those concerned to testify.

Our aim is to enable anyone who wishes to do so to come forward and be recognised and heard. We know that this can be difficult. This violence is intolerable. You have nothing to do with it. We are at your side.

If you have been the target of or witnessed behaviour that you have identified as inappropriate, behaviour that has shocked you or violent behaviour on the part of Abbé Pierre, you can send an email to emmaus@groupe-egae.fr or leave a message on 01 89 96 01 53. We will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting. You can also simply send us your testimonial.

The messages will be read by the Egaé* group, experts in the prevention of violence, who help numerous associations and NGOs to prevent sexist and sexual violence.

Your request will be strictly confidential and will remain anonymous to the member organisations of the Emmaus Movement. Your name will only be passed on to them if you request it.

Your email will be read by experts in the prevention of sexist, moral and sexual violence. Trained in listening to and guiding victims of violence, they will offer you a discussion and will be able to answer your questions. They will also be responsible for presenting the support system set up by the Emmaus Movement and directing you to the right people.

The Emmaus Movement is at your side.
