WA 2016: Final Declaration of the World Assembly 2016
“In favor of an intellectual insurrection, for justice and against the absurd.” The call of the declaration of the World Assembly 2016 in Jesolo is a reflection of the Emmaus International Movement’s values.
The Jesolo Declaration on Friday April 22nd brings a week rich in discussions, debates, ideas, and exchange about the future action plan of Emmaus International to a close. It expresses the movement’s will to “continue the fight against misery and for the rights of the most vulnerable, calling on both citizens and civil society organizations.”
The declaration is a universal call made in solidarity. It clearly affirms the movement’s will: “together, we ask that people stop acting only amongst themselves – that they gravitate towards the lively forces that are fighting against the causes of poverty everywhere in the world.”
